We, at Bakers, pride ourselves in the fact that the vast majority of goods that we sell on our delicatessen counter is either homemade or home cooked on our premises. Using only the best quality fresh local meats and produce that you can purchase on our acclaimed raw meat butchery counter. We sell home roasted Bakers Buttercross Beef, roasted local west Oxfordshire pork, fresh English roast chickens and chicken joints and fresh English roast turkey breast.
All the meat pies we sell are made to our own special recipe by our local baker, using only our top quality fresh local meats. He makes the pies then delivers them back to us in their raw state, which we bake ‘in store’ fresh on a daily basis.
We also have a very busy lunchtime filled baguette and ready to eat food trade. All the baguettes that we sell are baked fresh in the shop every morning. All the baguette filling mixes that we do are made in the shop fresh daily. We have a wide variety of homemade fillings including, sweet chilli chicken, The Bakers Breakfast (homemade sausage, crispy bacon & egg mayo), cheese medley, Mexican chicken, cheese spring onion & Mayo but to name a few. We also have all the traditional home cooked meat fillings such as ham, roast beef, roast pork, bully beef etc… We also have a special offer baguette, which has a different filling every day.
As mentioned on our about page, we have a very good value lunchtime meal deal special. A filled baguette, a packet of crisps and a can of drink for ONLY £4.50. Surely the most competitive, pound for pound, in the town? We also have lamb and chicken Samosas and a selection of cheeses, Stilton, Brie, mild & mature cheddar.
We sell a speciality homemade scotch egg with fancy homemade sausage meat, Bakers recipe homemade faggots, creamy homemade coleslaw plus many other items to whet your appetite.
